We are looking for an experienced Application Developer with strong expertise in Shell scripting to develop and maintain automation tools, system-level scripts, and support business-critical applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with Unix/Linux systems, automating tasks, and integrating software components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and maintain robust Shell scripts to automate system processes, data pipelines, and application workflows.
• Develop and support backend application components and interfaces with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments using shell tools and logs.
• Collaborate with system administrators, DevOps engineers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Optimize and refactor existing scripts and code for improved efficiency and maintainability.
• Document processes, code changes, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, etc.) on Unix/Linux platforms.
• Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, networking, and file systems.
• Experience in automation and job scheduling tools (e.g., Cron, Control-M, Autosys).
• Familiarity with other scripting languages like Python or Perl is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
• Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
• Knowledge of application monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK).
• Understanding of Agile development practices.
