Job Description

In Asia, we are a leading power sector consulting engineering company executing our regional consultancy and engineering assignments from our power sector consulting offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Hanoi, Singapore, Pune, Noida and Taipei

In total, we have multinational staff of more than 500 working in renewable energy and power generation field in Asia

In line with our increasing business, we are looking for Business Manager, Renewable Energy to have overall responsibility for our onshore renewable energy consulting projects in Taiwan

Your scope of work will include the following:

Overall responsibility for onshore renewable energy consulting services in Taiwan, including solar PV/ onshore wind farm/battery storage technical due diligence, feasibility study, EPC tendering and lenders technical advisory services, covering strategy, proposals, project supervision, report templates, quality control and customer satisfaction

Acting as Project Manager or Project Director for selected renewable energy consulting projects in Taiwan

Coordinating resources for renewable energy consulting projects in Taiwan, from among the 50+ AFRY wind power experts and 120+ solar PV experts working in APAC region, and with AFRYs renewable energy experts in Europe and other regions

Active participation for renewable energy consulting business development and sales

Participation or management of various other technical consulting assignments

Preparation of reports for the clients as required and quality control for the internal report preparation process

Short term travel expected in projects and to support business development in the Asia region

Occasionally provide support for projects in APAC

Rough expectation for the time spent on various duties is the following:

Project management/project supervision/project execution/project quality control (all billable activities)60-80%

Proposal preparation, client meetings, participation in the sales process20-30%

Strategy, resource planning, hiring, and admin work:

Qualifications

Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc

or higher)

Industry background and more than 10 years work experience from power utilities, IPP developers, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies

Good experience in renewable energy project development phase

Fluency in English and Chinese

Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills

Experience in client interaction and capability to meet deadlines

Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures

Ability to work independently
