Job Summary:

As a GIS and Lidar Technician, you will be involved in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support various projects. You will work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Light Detection and Ranging (Lidar) technologies to help generate accurate and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the collection and processing of Lidar data for various applications.
Support the creation and maintenance of GIS databases, maps, and spatial data layers.
Analyze spatial data using GIS software and tools to generate reports and visualizations.
Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and deliver geospatial solutions.
Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Helped integrate Lidar data with GIS systems for comprehensive spatial analysis.
Maintain and update GIS software and hardware as needed.
Document processes, methodologies, and results in a clear and organized manner.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and Lidar technology.
Familiarity with spatial data formats and geospatial data processing techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with GIS and Lidar software or hardware (internships, projects, or academic work).
Understanding of coordinate systems, spatial referencing, and data visualization techniques.
