Key Responsibilities

• Load & Unload Freight
• Handle goods arriving at and departing from trucks, trailers, containers, railcars, or shipments using both manual labor and material‑handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, or conveyors.
• Secure outbound loads to prevent shifting during transit using straps, braces, or blocks.
• Inspection & Accuracy
• Inspect goods before and after loading/unloading for any damage or discrepancies. Report any issues or missing items promptly.
• Match shipments to purchase orders or work orders and verify item count, SKUs, batch numbers.
• Material Handling & Inventory
• Transport, sort, and stage items into designated storage or staging areas.
• Assist in inventory tracking by accurately updating inventory, shipment, and receiving records.
• Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
• Maintain clean, well‑organized loading/unloading areas—sweep, remove debris, store tools properly.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE (e.g., gloves, steel‑toe footwear, visibility vests).
• Teamwork & Communication
• Work closely with warehouse coordinators, drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and correct scheduling.
• Support other warehouse functions (e.g. picking, packing, restocking) as needed.
