Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Engineer to lead the planning, implementation, and oversight of environmental programs and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our operations adhere to environmental laws, regulations, and company standards while driving sustainability and continuous improvement in environmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental assessments, permitting, and regulatory compliance efforts across multiple sites/projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) and sustainability strategies.
  • Conduct impact assessments and audits, identifying and mitigating risks related to air, water, soil, and waste.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into design, operations, and project planning.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and documentation required by local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Serve as a technical advisor on environmental engineering and sustainability best practices.
  • Oversee site remediation, pollution prevention, and resource efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage environmental data systems and ensure accurate reporting of KPIs and regulatory metrics.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior environmental staff and interns.
  • Stay informed of emerging environmental regulations and trends, recommending strategic responses.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
  • In-depth understanding of environmental laws and regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA).
  • Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using environmental modeling and data analysis software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., oil & gas, construction, renewable energy].
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems.
  • Knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting frameworks.
